Foods that Cause Facial Sweating When Eating

While certain foods and beverages are perfect if you want to increase your metabolism and burn fat, those same foods are ones that can cause facial sweating when eating. Along with emotional stress and hot environments, these are some of the most common catalysts that trigger excessive facial perspiring. Here are some foods and beverages to avoid if you want to prevent your face from sweating bullets:

1. Caffeinated beverages.

Caffeine is a stimulant, which causes your heart rate to increase. And when that happens, there`s a great likelihood that you will start perspiring more. This can trigger excessive perspiring among those who suffer from hyperactive sweat glands. So if you suffer from a problem with facial perspiration, then it`s highly advisable that you avoid drinks such as coffee, tea, soda, and energy drinks. An alternative would be to find decaffeinated versions of those drinks (which will be quite challenging for energy drinks!)

2. Spicy foods.

If you`ve ever eaten a whole chili pepper in your life, then you know that spicy foods can cause a three-alarm fire in your mouth, and facial sweating when eating. Naturally spicy foods can certainly provide many health benefits. They remove toxins from your body, increase your blood flow, and make life a little more exciting. But while perspiring is a natural reaction after eating spicy foods, people who suffer from excessive sweating should avoid them whenever possible. If you`re going to eat spicy foods then do it at home—your family and pets probably won`t mind your extra sweating!

3. Fatty foods.

Today, fat seems to have bad connotations whenever we hear the word. Just visit your local supermarket and count how many low-fat, reduced-fat, and no-fat foods you see there. But the fact of the matter is that our bodies need a certain amount of fat, and we need it on a daily basis. Still, in terms of facial sweating when eating, it`s important to avoid saturated fats in particular. These fats are from sources such as animal meats and dairy products. Saturated fats are also high in cholesterol, so that`s another valid reason why you should limit the amount of such fats in your diet.

4. MSG.

This is the stuff that`s in many restaurant, processed, and prepackaged foods. Yes, the stuff tastes good, but it`s also one of the worst types of food additives that you can eat. And to top it all off, MSG can promote facial sweating when eating. So when dining out, ask the waiter to hold the MSG. And when you`re grocery shopping, read the ingredients list of products so you can avoid eating ones with MSG.

5. Alcohol.

This is the number one beverage to avoid, if you want to reduce your facial perspiring. Whether it`s beer, wine, or mixed drinks, if you want to prevent sweating buckets when dining at a fine restaurant, then hold the alcohol.

Many people who suffer from facial sweating when eating have tried the e-book program “Head ‘n Facial Sweating Be Gone.” Discover for yourself if it satisfies your craving to eat without perspiring.
